-Oda Nobunaga
To ensure his grip on the mainland, the last thing Nobunaga wanted was for someone to rise up behind him and begin causing him nuisance. So, he planned on forming an alliance with the 'One-Eyed Dragon', Date Masamune. His home was in Dewa, a place not to far for Nobunaga to get to. Especially since his grip on the mainland was almost complete.
Nobunaga would arrive with a few Samurai for protection, of course. Their numbers small, but the Oda Samurai had been proven to be a match for any army. As he walked into the province Nobunaga would make his announcement. "Date Masamune, come to me!"
If Nobunaga could get Masamune to ally with him, not only could the Oda's grip become closer to a whole on the mainland, but he could also get the young warriors loyalty. Masamune may of been young, but he was quite the dueler. Useful he could be to Nobunaga's ambition.

Masamune Date had just finished gathering up his soldiers when the announcement was made: Nobunaga Oda was in Dewa. The Dragon have heard about Nobunaga's exploits, but always thought he could do better. That was his personality, and at least he had the strength to back up his words. With Dewa ready to fall at any time to himself, what could possibly a man from the central Japan be doing here, in his domains? "Better take care with this guy", Masamune thought.
His figure was dark, unsettling, yet Masamune could sense safety in his actions. Then again, in times such as these, one can never trust his senses. Masamune knew he would have a hard time dealing with him in the future, and also that any rash actions would leave him in a tricky situation. He minded his approach, but not his tongue, as he climbed down from his steed and spoke in a rough tone: "You... are Nobunaga Oda, right? I've heard about you. May I ask what are you doing in Dewa?". He carefully observed his interlocutor while waiting for his reply.

-Oda Nobunaga
As Masamune approached Nobunaga, he would chuckle and listen to the youngster. "In Dewa?" what a curious remark by the Date. Of course Nobunaga's intentions were either to conquer the land for himself or to subdue the 'One-Eyed Dragon of Oushu'. Though it would seem to be the latter as the Oda troops had not arrived with him.
Nobunaga would scratch his chin while speaking. "I seek only one thing Masamune. To rid this world of the cowards and the ill-equipped." An evil smile smirked across Nobunaga's face before he went into more detail. "Only the strong will rule this land and only the strong shall be left, the weak and cowards shall all die. Which are you 'One-Eyed Dragon'? Ally with me or be smeared from history like the rest." His offer was clear, ally with the Oda or surely meet Nobunaga's armies.

Masamune laughed at Nobunaga's words. It seemed like he was even more difficult to deal than Masamune himself. A strong personality, indeed, but also something that could instill fear into the enemy's hearts. But the One-Eyed Dragon refused to fear him, and while most of the people would crumble down and accept his proposal right away, Masamune looked at Nobunaga, with his head held high and said, "Weak? Smeared? I'm afraid not. I'm too good to be swept away like the rest of those idiots. But you can rest assured, no coward fools will remain in the north. I accept your not so humble proposal." And laughed a bit more. Only a fool would act so rashly in front of a man as powerful as Nobunaga Oda. But Masamune was no fool, just confident in his abilities.

Nobunaga could not hold back his laughter as he chuckled before he spoke. "Indeed Masamune...Indeed." Satisfied with the outcome of the meeting, Nobunaga would prepare for his departure. Ordering the few samurai with him to secure his withdrawal route. "Masamune, one last thing. You should rally up some more forces, I here gold can buy you anything in these lands." With that being said Nobunaga began to walk off, towards his own lands. He had a lot on his plate and could not be tied down for far to long.

So it was done. The Date-Oda Alliance was officially made, and Masamune was honored to be a part of it, even though in his own way. "I guess we're done here, then. But it will take a while until everyone is gone. At least it will be by my... I mean, our hands!"
Such an event would surely boost the troops' morale, and help Masamune establish a solid base in the north. Before Nobunaga left, there was still time for one last quick question: "May I ask you that you send me aid? I am planning to attack Mutsu, and word is that a guy has taken control of the province with a considerable army. I could defeat them by myself, but I'd rather not take a chance... What do you say?" He clearly was in need of more troops.

Nobunaga smiled as he looked back to Masamune. He spoke as he was still walking, "I will send Ranmaru to assist you. You will be in command of that battle." He turned his head back as he left. Sending word with one of the Samurai to travel and get Ranmaru. In preparation for the upcoming battle.
