The battle in Sanuki was won, and with it, the Sogo completely handed over control and now served the strong Chosokabe clan. With their submission, the people also submitted, but the fact still remained that many lives were lost, despite both him and his son trying to avoid it, though it was those with pride who would fall, which what was happened to the Sogo.
"History. Do you hear the cries of those who have no voices?", he muttered outloud as he stood at the burial site, where those related to those that had fallen, both from his men, and those of the surrendered Sogo, and thought about what they had all fought for. The Sogo had fought dishonorably, to attack a caravan of goods for people, whereas his people fought to bring about peace to the region, but now that they had all saw the light, it made him wonder what was on their minds before recieving the blow that finished them.
Motochika was not only a quite charismatic leader, but also quite empathetic. He had set out to unite the Island of Shikoku, to defend it against the tides coming in, and using his own resources, and now they were halfway there, the words Zhuge Liang had spoken and his arrival at his shore told him that his aim was not enough, that there was still more work to be done. He was not done yet.
After he had spent a little while there, he returned to the city, seeing how the city continued, despite the change in affliation, though if a foreign force took over any part of his beloved island, he was sure the scene would not be the same. In the end, there were all people of Shikoku, and like the rest of Shikoku, they faced the same fate as the other provinces of Shikoku, aswell as the rising tides around them.
Itsuka Sogo was also under his control, much like Ichiro was, and as a result, he met up with the former leader and requested that he gather up strong men and prepare them for what was to come. With the Sogo's links, it was a mission that could not fail, but at the same time, Motochika had no intention of letting those Sogo links to remain. Links could be broken, and what better, than a demonstration of strength, and a charismatic speech.
Now in the pavilion, he took his shamisen off his shoulder and strummed several times with a quick tune to gather peoples' attention, before he raised his shamisen over his head, "People of Sanuki! It has been clearly demonstrated that the Chosokabe is the strongest power in Shikoku, but unlike the Sogo, we plan to use our power in order to bring peace to our lands! As I speak, there is much conflicts beyond our waters, and is only a matter of time, before the tides begin to roll towards us! We must prepare. We must be strong. Those with me shall have utter devotion. They shall be protected. They shall never be forgotten. History will not forget my name, or those that serve me. Me and my men are at your service, and willing to train any able men to our cause, for the protection of your homes, your families, and the future of our people. I ask...that you join with me now, and I tell you now, you will not regret the amazing work you will do!".
Motochika's purposely intended for the Sogo men to be present also. If the Sogo were still respected, then so was their acts and their past doings, and was simply asking for a rebellion, but if their acts were more highlighted, and their reputation tarnished even furthur despite defeat, then they would have to change their ways.
With proper training, many can become as strong as the men already under his command, much like what he had done to those who had joined him back in Tosa when he first set out on his campaign. His campaign would of been halfway done, but it seemed, it was only just beginning....

I'll leave judgement of this to Alex, since you already have a faction, and enough gold to seriously boost your ranks.

I thought you were aware of this Simon, but if not; Once Faction's have been established that individual can no longer recruit soldiers via the roleplay. They are therefor required to purchase them through the 'Shop'. Likewise, the Chosokabe currently have over 2,000 Gold. Both including the Chosokabe Pool and Motochika's Personal stash. Thus, this recruitment has failed.
Side Note: I am also sorry. For it would seem that you had also put some effort into this post.

That is what I thought but then there was this recruitment after the clan was formed, which is why I went for it, using past precedent. As for gold, roleplaying only deals with Ashigaru not other types.
