Have any questions?
Need something clarified?
Then look no further, if you have any questions for the staff here at Legends of Sengoku, then post them here.
Of course, any longer serving members that know the answers to a newer member's questions or queries, then by all means, feel free to answer them if we haven't done so already/missed a question out.
However, I can already forsee a handful of questions as regards the new training system, so... I'll give a few example questions, and the relevant answers to them, if there's anything I miss, then, please ask me for more direct information, I'm more than willing to explain, but, now for the time saving part.
Q. Can I train my troops to a tier 3 from Tier 1?
A. No, you cannot, in order to reach Tier 3 with Any unit that has three tiers, you must train to tier 2 first, and then again to tier 3.
Q. Can I cross Train my troops from Tier 1 of one type, to Tier 2 of another?
A. No, when you switch a troops type, it starts at Tier 1, at ALL times.
Q. I trained my Ashigaru into Ninja using the Shuriken + Kunai item, can I then train my Ninja into a third troop type, as long as I use the equipment listed in the shop for that troop?
A. Yes, you can change unit types as much as you want, as long as you have the necessary gold and equipment to do so.
Q. Could I train from Tier 1 of a troop type to Tier 3, and then switch them back to Tier 1?
A. No, that's just silly, and it wouod have been a waste of gold and equipment training them in the first place, for the sake of ease of gameplay, just buy more of the Tier 1 unit, or, train some of your other Tier 1 types into your desired unit type.
Q. If I were to train 1,000 Ninja to Fire Ninja, then train them again into Wind Ninja, could I still use the Fire Ninja Bomb-traps skill?
A. No, that is a Fire Ninja exclusive skill (As mentioned in troop type description) and, as the Wind Ninja's entire right arm is essentially a drill from the elbow down, the Wind Ninja could not physically create the bomb to be used in the traps. You can, however, combine Fire and Wind Ninja into a single unit, using the Wind Ninja to drill a hole in which the Fire Ninja could plant the bomb, that way, you could use the bomb-trap skill with Wind Ninja, but, not on their own.
Q. I notice you've said that in order to train troops you need the required ammount of gold and equipment... What are the ratios?
A. This is explained in the training section of the shop, but, it can't hurt to explain it again, so, see below.
Tropp Training.
In order to train units from Tier 1 to Tier 2, 2 Gold per soldier, along with an equal amount of equipment is needed to train the troops (E.G. 100 Ninja to 100 Fire Ninja would require 200 Gold, and 100 Kunai + Shuriken, and 100 Kegs of Gunpowder.)
To train from Tier 2 to Tier 3, 3 Gold, along with an equal number of equipment per soldier is required (E.G. 100 Fire Ninja to 100 Wind Ninja would require 300 Gold, 100 Shuriken + Kunai, and 100 Drills)
You can switch a soldiers troop type, in multiples of 100, this simply requires 300 gold per 100 soldiers, plus the required equipment, so 100 Ashigaru, to 100 Cavalry would require 300 Gold, and 100 Horses + Bridles.
Notes: Specialized Faction Troops, such as the Oda riflemen cannot be trained and are automatically considered to be Tier 3. Also, in order to train Engineers into Technicians, you will need double the Hammer's.
Q. I know there are multiple tiers to some troops, but, what advantages do the higher tiers have over the lower.
A. At the moment, they simply deal more damage, however, I am debating on giving each troop type a special skill that can only be used by that troop type, special skills are definitely happening with Specialized Faction Troops, such as the Oda riflemen in the future, I just need to work our a system for it all.
Q. If I were to train Ashigaru into Sumo, would it require any equipment, as I cannot find Sumo's in the list of troops and equipment needed to train?
A. No, you do not need any equipment, just gold, which will, for now, be deducted at the same rate.
Q. If I was to train Archers into Cavalry, which requires Horse + Bridle. Would I need to use Horse + Bridle's again, along side Bow + Arrows to upgrade to Horsebow?
A. Yes, this is to prevent generals 'spamming' the training system, I have designed it to make it more difficult to attain stronger troops in a short time frame, the same goes for the Ninja and Engineer type troops, in order to train to any level, you MUST possess the necesarry funds and equipment.
Q. It says that Ashigaru can now be equiped with swords or Spears, must they be trained using both if being converted from another troop type?
A. No, when converting, you can chose which of the two to train X ammount of soldiers with, and that is what they will remain equipped with at all times, however, when Recruiting troops, they are automatically trained with both, and can be equipped with either (No actual equipment needed once they've been trained/Recruited.)
