What exactly is justice? One might say it is simply doing the right thing. Others may say that it is stopping a person or group from doing something wrong. While the remainder of the world may describe it as making sure that punishment is handed to those who commit punishable acts. No matter how you say it, the word justice always boil down to one thing. Rightousness. While there a different ways of explaining it, the core meaning of the word never ever change. Right. But what exactly is right. The word can vary from person to person. Is there really one way to describe the word right. What makes one persons thoughts and actions the right thing to do. One might say that it is right to follow the law and obey the rules, while another may argue that one should fight against the things that hold them back...even if it is the law. The point is...can everyone call their ideas and motives right? And if the answer to that is yes, then let me ask you this. If the word right can vary, does that also mean that justice can vary, depending on who the person is and the point of time you are speaking to them?
"Brave warriors of this Province, I have something to ask of you. Those who wish to raise their blades and fight on the side of justice and rightousness, I implore you to join me in my bid to rid the world of oppressors. Will you lend me your blade and life so that I may restore peace to the land? Follow me and I promise to lead you to the peace you so deperately desire. I pledge to give my all to drive away the terror known as Nobunaga Oda. You all watch as he cruelly slaugher innocent beings and force them under his rule. You watch from the shadows as the Demon King moves to conquer the land and shape it into his twisted image. Will you stand still and continue to watch? Or will you stand and fight for justice!"
And with that, he was finished. It was time for the people to decide what they wanted. Were they content to let the evil spread over to the area, or were they willing to join him in battle. The choice was up to them. Kenshin sure hoped that they would see the light and join his cause. If they didn't, Kenshin would just have to accept. Although, he would only watch as they suffer the consequences of their choice.
