Orion was now at the command of 9,000 troops, he was a foreigner but the people had took to him well, a few more troops and he would claim land in his own name. This action however may cause the attention of the chief warlords to be turned to him. He was still a young man and had a lot to learn, however, he had be linked to the famous warlord of China called Sun Ce. He was a young warrior thrown into a position of leadership prematurely due to his fathers death, however unlike Sun Ce, Orion would unite the land.
He rode at the head of his horde, that right, horde. He had no land of his own and this troubled Orion greatly. He needed to take land by force, but not now. More men was needed first. He had heard that a local noble man's daughter had been kidnapped by bandits and was offering a reward of 4,000 men. Just what Orion needed. Kanza and Orion would storm the bandit base and kill all that stood in their way and return the woman to claim their reward.
They neared the rumoured encampment which she was being held. Orion was wearing his golden dye armour with his famous white cape, whilst Kanza wore nothing but a leather tenebra. Orion wielded his famous European longsword, he used both hands as the blade was quite heavy but Kanza's superior strength allowed him to carry his heavier halberd with one hand. Under the cover of darkness both men raced into the camp. Cries of unprepared bandits made the night come alive. The flickers of torches made it seem as though a dance for the gods was taking place, but all the remained of the dances was the spilt blood of those who took part.
A "twang" of a bow was heard and Kanza was felled from his horse, the arrow had pierced the heart of the steed killing it instantly. A second "twang" rippled through the air, but this time the cry that followed was that of a man. Strange... Kanza did not cry, nor did he show emotion. The man with bow hit the floor but how? Orion watched Kanza walk over to the man a pulled a knife from his throat, he licked the blood from the blade and returned it to its holder.
An almighty roar made the ground tremble and the birds awake from their sleep. He swung a axe almost as big as himself and he wore leather armour. His eyes met the eyes of Kanza and the two men clashed. Halberd on axe and then axe on halberd. All Orion could do was watch... or was it? Orion rushed on ahead and freed the woman tied who was tied to a wooden pole. She was bloodied and beaten, not a very pretty sight but she was the daughter of some important man. When Orion returned to Kanza he was covered in blood, but not his, it was the blood of the axeman. The two men returned to the noble man and claimed their prize.
