I am writing this for my own amusement and I would love to hear some comments and criticism from you all. :0
Inspirations: Dynasty Warriors, Romance of the Three Kingdoms
Note: I'm just going to be editing this post to add whatever I do write. Instead of posting a million times.
Wan Shui's Journal:
Wan Shui wasn't of noble birth, he had no real place in history except that he could write. He was not a warrior of any kind, more of a scholar. Wars had broken out around China and within Chang 'An a brutal tyrant had arisen, this tyrant went by the name of Dong Zhuo. Though Wan Shui was no warrior, he would go here and record the events that took place. He would be one of China's first journalist.
Shui arrived quite late to this war. The battle of Shi Shui Gate had already been finished and he heard of the merits that Sun Jian had slain the mighty Hua Xiong. He arrived just in time to watch the siege of Chang 'An. In truth, he had never seen so much blood. On a hilltop he could watch as the coalition assembled by the great lord T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) smashed into Hu Lao Guan(Gate).
There stood what some came would call the greatest warrior China had ever known, Lu Bu. This man, this beast was 6'10". He carried a mighty halberd in which I personally watched him slay at least one hundred of the Allied Coalition. Before the day grew to late three brothers approached Lu Bu, the first was Zhang Fei. A drinker of a man, but indeed powerful. After a few bouts Lu Bu pushed Zhang Fei back, but he did not retreat. Secondly, Guan Yu jumped in and the two began attacking Lu Bu together. Still, Lu Bu would not falter. Finally, with the aid of Liu Bei, the third and final brother, Lu Bu was forced to retreat. I do not know of what happened within the walls of Chang 'An, but it was a definite victory by the hands of lord T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) Coalition.
A friend told me that Lu Bu was eventually found hassling Yuan Shao's borders. At this time Yuan Shao and lord T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) were the two super powers. Eventually Lu Bu gave up attacking Yuan Shao, seeing that no matter how many times he pushed him back, he could never successfully wage a war with a man so influential. At the battle of Guan Du lord T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) fought against the mighty armies of Yuan Shao. They clashed here for many days. Throughout the battles at Guan Du Yan Jin had fallen. A base defended by T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) forces, which was attacked by the Shao armies. Relying on T'sao Ren(Cao Ren) to hold a sturdy defense, he ordered his cousin Xiahou Dun to attack Yuan Shao's supply depot. Word from Xun Yu stated that, "Such a large army is much like a beast, take away the beasts food and he shall surely meet defeat." After that Xiahou Dun carried out the orders with the utmost precision.
T'sao Ren(Cao Ren) successfully held off the armies of Yuan Shao at the castle of Guan Du many times and with the aid of Xu Huang and Guan Yu were able to form an effective killing spot. Guan Yu was employed by lord T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) until he could find his brother Liu Bei. Who was at Xia Pi, the unaware Guan Yu served T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) loyally.
Led by Xiahou Dun, the raid of the Supply Depot at Wuchao was very successful. Without food and proper supply routes the armies of Yuan Shao were forced to halt their siege of Guan Du Castle. With this opening the forces under T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) were able to go on the offensive for the first time and deal a crippling blow to Yuan Shao. After this battle Lu Bu left Bei Hai and marched South, heading for Xia Pi.
After two months of grueling fights with Yuan Shao's cousin, Yuan Shu, Lu Bu moved in with Liu Bei, who at this time was at Xia Pi. Claiming that Liu Bei was his 'Little Brother' and aided him against the local warlords. One night, while Liu Bei was away, Zhang Fei had grown extremely drunk off of wine. Lu Bu used this to his advantage and claimed Xia Pi of his own. Effectively kicking Liu Bei and his brother Zhang Fei out. Upon Liu Bei's return he found a hungover Zhang Fei and barked madly at him. Some say that Liu Bei was virtuous, but of the years to come from what I saw, I never once saw a virtuous man.
Liu Bei was forced to ask a favor from lord T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao), after being taken in and allowed to hold his armies there. Upon arriving he was reunited with Guan Yu. In which he asked that he assist him against Lu Bu. T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) replied stating that Lu Bu was a rabid dog. After four months T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) and Liu Bei led their armies to Xia Pi and attacked Lu Bu. Lu Bu held a furious defense in which he pushed back their armies countless times, but in the end he failed. After being captured Lu Bu was hung by T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) and Liu Bei was given back Xia Pi.
A few months later T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) came to Xia Pi to claim it as his own. Liu Bei was forced to retreat to a relatives land in Jing, Liu Zhang. At the time Liu Zhang held most of Jing under his command and was capable of holding off an attack from T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao). The time came and Liu Bei fled to Chang Ban. T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) armies gave pursuit but were stopped by Zhang Fei. On this day he was sober and on this day he held off T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) entire army, a truly remarkable feat. Thus Liu Bei fled to Jing.
Time passed and my travels took me even more south. I arrived around the Jiangdong area which was home to the Wu kingdom. This kingdom was led by Sun Quan at this time. Unfortunately, I had missed his brother and fathers reign. T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) had now gain control over the Central Plains and Liu Bei was fleeing to the mountains of the West. To rebuild an army and take the land no doubt.
Out of all of my travels I was never treated nicer than in the lands owned by the Wu kingdom. I was given a home and even a rank within their army. Of course I was no combatant, but I still held a rank so that I may visit their battles and record them. Sun Quan was a very good leader, compared to the others that I had met. Soon to come was the battle at Shouchun, He Fei Castle.
I marched with the Wu forces to Shouchun. They encountered the fortification at He Fei and their they met an elite defense force. Although the Wei forces, owned by T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao), were very light they were led by a fierce warrior named Zhang Liao. The Wei forces numbered less than one thousand. The Wu forces mustered one hundred thousand troops to attack He Fei. This battle was the most gruesome one I ever saw.
At first Wu's advancements were quick and efficient, but by letters from T'sao T'sao(Cao Cao) Zhang Liao was ordered to strike fear into the hearts of Wu, he did just that. I recall seeing him launching many raids from hilltops and ambushing the Wu forces. Ultimately plaguing them and destroying their forces while suffering light losses himself. In one particular engagement, I was traveling with the seasoned veteran Cheng Pu when Zhang Liao struck. He was as fierce as Lu Bu that day and earned him the title 'Demon of He Fei'. As I watched the Wu forces be decimated in front of me, the only thing that saved me that day was that I did not have a weapon. For surely I would of died at the hands of Zhang Liao.
The outcome of the battle at He Fei was ultimately in Wei's favor. With only six hundred troops Zhang Liao was able to hold off and decimate the overwhelming odds of the Wu forces. After that battle Wu thought twice before ever embarking on another expedition north.
More to come, C&C and Feedback please!

Thumbs up to what you've written so far. I like it. I personally would enjoy reading more about how Lu Bu moved into Liu Bei's land, but that's just my opinion. You should keep writing this, I really like it.

Thanks for the feedback and I will take that into account. I'm currently re-reading Luo Guangzong's Romance of the Three Kingdoms so that I get my facts strait before writing more about how Lu Bu got into Liu Bei's service and take over.
