Yoshihiro Shimazu craved war and even more so he craved the glory of it. He would begin his rise to power here in Osumi Province. Many of the common folk of Kyushu knew of the Shimazu clan and even more so fought a long side of them in past days. It would not be difficult for Yoshihiro to muster up some troops.
Within the town square he began his speech, "People of Osumi, the land has broken out in total war! With the Oda growing ever so powerful in the mainland and the Chosokabe barking at our borders. We need to build a stronghold here. My people, please come forth with me and let us forge our own paths and keep our land safe with our own hands! Chest-ooo!!!" He shouted at the end.
Chants could be heard as many of the common folk began cheering for the Shimazu leader. "Chest-o, Chest-o, Chest-o!!" It would begin here and now that Shimazu would rise in power and begin building a stronghold in Kyushu.
