A guard rushed into Motochika's quarters, grabbed a drumstick and hit against the large bell which had been gifted to him from the surrender of the Miyoshi. It was such fine detail and not to go amiss. Definitely too good to sell and send away. What belonged in Shikoku, stayed in Shikoku.
With the hit of the drum, Motochika looked up to the guard as he sat on the floor with his legs crossed and his shamisen in his hand which he had been holding, awaiting what the guard had to tell him. None would sound the bell if it weren't important, and if it weren't important, then they had disturbed his practice which wasn't to his liking at all.
"Milord. The wind and seas are blowing, and there's a storm on the horizon. You wished for me to inform you when such an occurance occurred. What are my next instructions?", he asked. He was indeed puzzled as to the reasons of why he wished to know when the storm was brewing, but he trusted in his lords actions. Afterall, he had united Shikoku as he said he would. There was no room for doubt.
A smirk appeared on Motochika's face, "So the storm has come.....Bring Nobuchika to me", as the guard bowed and left, while he stood and glanced out the window. His hand strummed the strings, before walking closer to the door which led to the balcony and saw the trees swing to and fro.
Nobuchika rushed into his fathers' chambers, "Father", looking round for him till he saw him look out the window, "You called...and in this weather too! It's terrible".
"I agree with you. It is terribly...wonderful", causing Nobuchika to raise his eyebrow, which caused Motochika to chuckle as he approached his son. "Nobuchika. I promised my father before he died, that I would not only take back Tosa but I'd unite Shikoku. Though this goal is achieved, my goal has changed ever since Zhuge Liang arrived on our doorstep. I believe it was Heaven itself, that used the sea to guide him here. If the sea is calm, then we are in control, but if the sea is rough, then who knows where it will lead".
Though what he said did make sense, especially the fact that Zhuge Liang came from a different time, but he still didn't see the logic in riding out in the storm, "But Father. Shikoku is ours. Now's the time to set up defences or move out, and..", but he was cut short by his father, "and...where are we supposed to move out to? North to the mainland? West to Shikoku?", as Nobuchika decided to answer, "North to mainland. When Zhuge Liang finished his preparations, we can strike out again, and if we have a holding in the mainland, we'd be able to -".
Motochika was pleased that Nobuchika was learning, the news of Zhuge Liang and Nobuchika's successful strike at Suruga was news to his ears, but so was the activity between the Fuuma and the Oda, "able to get ourselves cornered and overstretched on two fronts", though he did not wish to deny his son's proposal, "North may be the path for us to take, but so is East, and so is West, so there is only one way to find out. Order our troops to mount the boats".
"In the storm?", he asked. "In the storm", Motochika responded with a smile, "Make the necessary preparations and inform me when the troops are ready", before returning to playing his shamisen, as Nobuchika surrendered to his father, hoping that this plan of his would work, as he left him.

After an hour passed, Nobuchika sent word to Motochika that everyone was ready at the docks. Motochika left his quarters and arrived to dock where his son was waiting. Behind him, was two Heavy Galleons, all prepped for sail. "We await your order Father", as a guard brought Motochika his new horse which sure was a beautiful and was very fast from what he had been told.
Motochika took the reigns and looked up to the ships, and then back to his home of Tosa, "It is time for the bat to leave his nest". It was something that he never expected to do, if it weren't for Zhuge Liang's arrival. Turning to Nobuchika, he then spoke, "You will command one vessel, and I the other. You are to instruct your men to lead her deep into the ocean then let the waves of Shikoku lead the Champions of Shikoku to where we are needed next". He paused as he let his words settle before putting his hand on his son's shoulder to reassure him, "It will all be revealed soon enough. I would not commit to such an action if I didn't have faith that it would work", leaving him with a smile, before swinging his shamisen over his shoulder while his horse followed behind him as he boarded his ship as Nobuchika done the same for his.
"Forward to our destiny....whereever it may lead!".
