Hideyoshi Toyotomi a hyper young man, but nonetheless was very intelligent. He started off poor and as Nobunaga's sandal holder, but in time that would change. In fact, it would dramatically change once he joined the Oda ranks as a military tactician and general. A very valuable asset to lord Nobunaga.
The monkey was his title given by lord Nobunaga, but no other was allowed to call him such. If one did so, they would surely meet Hideyoshi's rage and vengeance. However, when lord Nobunaga called him monkey it meant nothing to him. Except that his lord cared, he believed it was his way of appreciating him. Before laid Owari, the capitol of the Oda.
In his lords hall was layered with guards and the banner of the Oda. Hideyoshi would approach his lord and bow. "Greetings lord Nobunaga!" Hideyoshi said vigorously. It was true to say that he was excited or possibly this was just how he always acted, in high spirits.

A smirk came to Nobunaga's face before a following cough. Hideyoshi had always been near him, but in recent events he was gone and no where to be found. Luckily, out of his own accord, Hideyoshi returned to him. "Ah monkey, it is indeed good to see you again."

Hintsune Juyian raised her eyebrow at this energetic man. She had not seen him before, but after seeing the exchange of words from her lord and the newcomer, realised they knew each other. "Another of your many servants Nobunaga? Or does this one hold more prestige with you then that?" Until she knew his station, she refused to give him the slightest of respect, and as a result spoke these words with a rather sly tone.

His lords words humbled him before a woman spoke up. "Another of your many servants Nobunaga? Or does this one hold more prestige with you then that?" She would say, but it was true, he was a servant. Unlike any other servant though Hideyoshi was among those that Nobunaga praised. Hideyoshi's gaze moved towards the woman. "It's Hideyoshi, Hideyoshi they'll all praise! And just might who you be woman?!" His voice as ecstatic as ever.

Nobunaga sat idly, he would allow the two to meet. Scratching his chin he reflected on how Hideyoshi use to be the lowest of peasants, but then quickly rose in his ranks to now being one of Oda's most valuable generals. This was what Nobunaga expected out of man, if they could not rise to overcome obstacles, then they were of no use to the world or to him for that matter. A laugh could be heard from Nobunaga's direction as he watched his little monkey's voice jump from one side of the room to the other.

Hintsune Juyian regarded this new person with an 'I am better then you' attitude, but also with curiosity. So when he addressed her personally, she perked her ears somewhat. However, apon realising it was self praise, she lost all interest in him instantly.. Until his last word.
"Woman...Woman..WOMAN?! I am more then that you half-dressed peasant! How dare you insult me so!" Her voice would roar across the hallways, and nearby servants began to scatter in case she uttered one of her infamous curses. However, regaining herself and her posture she would calm herself. "I am more then a woman. I am Hintsune Juyian, Right hand to our lord and ancient priestess. You would do well to remember that.. Hideyoshi."
Dispite being much younger then he, and most likely in the ranks of Oda for less then he, during the recent times she had proven herself, and she wasn't going to let someone with a nickname of 'Monkey' take that away from her. Perhaps she saw him as a threat to her position and got territorial. Or perhaps she just didn't like his energy. Either way, she felt bitter against Hideyoshi. And yet, one word echoed through her head.
"Woman.."
That was the first time her entire life she had been regarded as such to her face.

Hideyoshi bellowed out with laughter after hearing his lords laughter as well and to Juyian's words. "Woman...Woman..WOMAN?! I am more then that you half-dressed peasant! How dare you insult me so! I am more then a woman. I am Hintsune Juyian, Right hand to our lord and ancient priestess. You would do well to remember that.. Hideyoshi." She said.
Hideyoshi's laugh came to a halt as he hoped over next to her. A peasant was not something that he wanted to be viewed as nor wanted to return to. He had done so much to put that in the past and it was because of Nobunaga that he was here as well. Her words would not fall on deaf ears. "I am no peasant!! His voice rose but then quickly settled to not annoy his lord. "You mustn't take things so personally or you will never survive here." Though he was being hypocritical because if anyone, besides lord Nobunaga, called him 'monkey' he would surely snap much in the same way.

It seemed she had also struck a cord of some sort, but he controlled it, most likely because of their leaders presence. But that did not bother her. She intended to show her honest colours, and decided this would be a good chance to rub in otherwise. "Is that so? Would you like to make your tone any more innocent for our lord? Perhaps sweeten it up a bit? You've already started by trying to cover your vexation, why stop now?" She would taunt to him. But she was not done yet.
"I will never survive here? Says the one who during our hour of need was no where to be seen. I have survived much more then a personal insult during the rise of the Oda? What have you survived during this much needed time? A simple meet and greet with the two of us that has yet to finish." She flicked her long, black hair back. She was smiling. Not because she was happy, but because she had not been able to rest someone's mental resolve in exchange of heated words for a while. Slowly, she would stride around him, her chin up and her eyes always on him, examining him, like a tiger watching it's pray.

He watched as Juyian circled him, eying him like some kind of beast. Maybe they had gotten off on the wrong foot, maybe they were both to blame, but they both served Nobunaga and both of them would need to come to some kind of even ground. "Do not insult me and I shall not insult you. I had no idea that a woman would also be insulted by being called what she is..." His voice was pitched as usual, but then began to trail. He wanted to be recognized as much as she probably did or else why would she speak so rash? "Your hour of need has yet to also arise, mind you Juyian. For if you think that you have had it rough yet, then you will be in store for a lot more hardship." In his own mind he thought of the Chosokabe and though Takeda nor Uesugi had arrived, those two were surely preparing to arise and would prove to be extremely difficult to handle. He did not think of the Fuuma, for he believed their thorn in his lords side was to end soon and likely by an alliance or by death.
Hideyoshi turned to his lord and master, Nobunaga. His voice was more calm and collected after the bout with Juyian. "My lord, as you are surely aware of, Ieyasu has begun his rebellion and the defenses in Mikawa are undermanned. I would not rely on a dragon who also seeks your head to defend your land for to long." He griped his sansetsu and continued to speak. "Send me and I will show Ieyasu the folly of defying you. Though he possesses the great Tadakatsu Honda, I swear to you that I will not fail."

It was amusing to him to see his subjects fight over such trivial words, but he respected them both and allowed it. It was true to say that Hideyoshi had been gone for quite some time and that in his sted Hintsune Juyian had picked up his slack, but the time for Hideyoshi would come and Juyian would see how useful he was just as she was. A cough came before he spoke, "Juyian, settle yourself. Hideyoshi mind your manners and I will allow you to march to Mikawa's aid. Unfortunately, Tadakatsu will prove most troublesome and his abilities are not to be underestimated, but I have faith in your talents." Talents, that was all Oda Nobunaga cared for and his beloved Japan. Though many saw him as 'evil', he and his retainers may not have.
Nobunaga wanted to conquer Japan to usher in a new regime, one that would prosper and end the wars that has troubled this land for far to long. His methods maybe cruel, but they were effective. Any of worth would be gladly accepted into the ranks of the Oda, but if they proved to be useless then they would be crushed a long with the others that defied him.

She would take in the exchange of words. In truth, they were both right to say what they said. However, she had no intention of backing down entirely, that would show her to be weak. She would however, not disobey her lord either. Allowing the silence to stew for a while, she finally spoke up, retaining a calm tone with a slightly bitter aftermath.
"As my lord wishes. And I will agree to your terms Hideyoshi. However, I am vexed by your speaking down to me. 'Your hour of need is yet to arise.' And exactly who are you to tell me this? You only just join the ranks, yet you suddenly know when and when not Oda needs me?"
It was then she had remembered something, that she had not taken this opportunity just to meet and greet with the newest officer, but rather to give Oda something. A scroll. Leaving it at his feet as to not show disrespect, yet contradicting her polite manner by turning her back on the two of them and beginning to leave the room. She had nothing more to say to either of them, and she feared if she spoke too much to her lord regarding anything to do with anything right now her discreet anger would show. Yet a whisper did yet leave her lips.
"Hideyoshi.. Let us see what you are made of."
(Juyian has left. For now. Also, the scroll is a PM.)
