You can alter troop types at 300 gold per 100 units along with the needed equipment (E.G. 200 Ashigaru -> 200 Ninja = 600 Gold + 200 Shuriken + 200 Kunai)
Specialized units
The following may only be bought by the leader or second in command of the Faction to which the Troops are affiliated, this will be updated as new factions come into play, and do NOT require extra equipment, please note, these troops come in smaller groups, and require More Gold to purchase than normal Troops.
Oda Riflemen: Master Marksmen, the only person to ever best a member of these elite soldiers is one Saika Magoichi.
Unit Skill: Rolling Fire - The Oda Riflemen are well versed in rapidly dispersing enemy troops, and thus, when faced with a larger unit of enemy troops, they can lay down a continuous stream of rifle-fire towards that unit for 3 turns, as the target unit becomes smaller, less damage is dealt as at the accelerated fire rate, it is hard for the Riflemen to aim correctly.
Cool Down: - 5 Turns
Fūma Ninja: Master Ninja, trained personally by Fūma Kotarō and his Apprentice in the arts of Fūma Ninjutsu.
Unit Skill: Ghost Ambush - The Fuma Ninja all possess the same Ninjutsu ability of Invisibility as Fuma Kotaro's apprentice, and can use this ability to prepare an Ambus on a heavy scale, lasting for 3 turns in which the first two will be spent tracking, and surrounding the enemy unit, the third turn, they will strike, dealing great damage to the unsuspecting enemy.
Cool Down: 6 Turns
Chosokabe Archers: A highly trained version of the Basic Archers, their bow and arrow techniques are unparallelled to any other archers.
Unit Skill Fire Arrows - As the name suggests, the Chosokabe Archers have perfected the art of launching volleys whilst their arrows are aflame, this attack will last for three turns, with the First turn the lighting and loosing of the volley, the second turn will be the impact, damaging any troops that it makes contact with, the third turn will be the spreading of the Flames, more damage will be dealt to the enemy if they are Fire Ninja, Riflemen, or in possession of a Cannon.
Cool Down: 4 Turns.
All Faction specific troops will cost the following: 1000 gold for 500 troops 1500 gold for 1000 troops 3000 gold for 2500 troops
In order to train each unit type, a commander will need to carry the following, in equal numbers to the desired number of troops to be trained:
Ashigaru - Spears or Swords. Samurai - Katana. Archers - Bow + Arrows. Crossbowmen - Crossbow + Bolts Riflemen - Rifles + Gunpowder. Cavalry - Horses + Bridles Horsebowmen - Horses + Bridles and Bow + Arrows. Ninja - Shuriken + Kunai Fire Ninja - Shuriken and Gunpowder. Wind Ninja - Shuriken and Drills. List Updated, there was a little confusion in the transferal of information.
All units above tier 1 must now be trained to reach that tier, using the equipment and gold listed in the training and troop type requirements sections

The weapons are only needed for training purposes, as, in order to train a unit in a new process, the equipment they will be using is required, hence why equipment listing was placed beneath the training segment.
Besides, this is merely a section which needs testing, I say, the equipment remains in effect for training ONLY. Forces may build their combat pools all they like without purchasing equipment first, this, I will edit the section regarding equipment to state for training only asap, unless Daimyo beats me to it (Forgot to edit when I updated, sorry.)
