Nobuchika could hear the sounds of the Sogo all around him, while hearing one of his disguised troops' designed cries as a signal, before a hand appeared on the cloth to the entrance before the cloth was pulled back and there stood one of the Sogo, who then turned and yelled, "A trap!"
, before Nobuchika dragged him in and hit him with his numchuk to knock him out cold, before looking up to his troops, "He'll be of use later. Trust me. Now! Let's get this caravan moving and let's go crush us some Sogo!", before he darted out from the cloth and swung his numchuks around knocking any men approaching him back, before he was reinforced by the other men in with him who had come out, before he yelled, "Go! Go! Go!", as the knelt men swung their swords, rolled to avoid getting hit as best as they could, before rushing to the carriage they had defended which had now divided and went into opposite directions, so the archers had full view of where the enemy was, while the troops under Nobuchika followed suit to him and defended those defending the carriages while attacking any Sogo coming towards them to attack them, while ensuring they stay out of range from the arrows. "No arrow is straighter than a Chosokabe shaft" were the words on his mind, as he watched the arrows pelt down as the men fell to their power. Nobuchika left his men infront of the moving carriage as they continued the attack, while he moved round it, so he was behind the carriage and away from view, before climbing ontop of the carriage, "Your raid has failed, and your troops are succumbing to the power of the Chosokabe. Give in now, or meet your end!", before jumping off backwards and landed feet first, before waving his numchuk towards one of the guards guarding one of the back carriages near to Chikayasu's position, before moving with the carriage until it came to a halt, and rejoining his men in repelling any Sogo that came their way. It was unlikely that alot of Sogo would surrender, or maybe they would to see that they had fallen for their trap, and now had no way out other than to run, and if any did surrender, they'd be ordered to attack their former comrades straight away, as in situations like the, they had to watch out for themselves when decided to give in. With the Chosokabe Archers firing down, and Nobuchika and his men near to the carriages, repelling any that charged towards them, the guard that Nobuchika waved to, went towards Chikayasu who was slowly approachable, before bowing, "Master Nobuchika has begun the fight. The Sogo are at our mercy. Master Nobuchika advises caution due to our arrows attacking the enemy and that you should circle round and flank them on the side, while avoiding being in the danger zone", as he passed on what Nobuchika spoke to him about before the battle, and that his movement with the numchuk which shown a circle movement. The battle was going well.... (In the distance) While from afar, Motochika glanced towards the west, as he saw that the fight had begun, before glancing to his troops, "As expected, the Sogo has fallen for our ploy. Now we must bring them into our submission, though I have another idea, though Sanuki lies beyond this forest, we might have another way, but continue our preparations". He pulls his scout aside and informs him of a new plan to deliver to his son once the fighting has eased, while his men work in the forest to cut down a trunk to act as a ram, aswell as protection for those holding it, aswell as something to hold of course, so would take some time, but would have pkenty of time, if his plan went through.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Chikayasu had sent 150 men to hunt down the Sogo soldiers and had the rest lying in wait down the road for the outcome of the raid. His army was massive compared to the enemy's, but he couldn't risk any unwanted casualties. If he had darted the enemy position right away, the Chosokabe archers would end up with a friendly fire. But things started to change when a guard arrived in front of him, sent by Nobuchika to inform him of the status. "Master Nobuchika has begun the fight. The Sogo are at our mercy. Master Nobuchika advises caution due to our arrows attacking the enemy and that you should circle round and flank them on the side, while avoiding being in the danger zone."
"So, it has begun... Well, I had imagined that it would be suicide just going in. I shall do as suggested and circle around, leaving some units behind just in case." Having said this, he took his units out of the road and advanced with a quickened pace, while some other soldiers stood behind to help in the skirmish. The battle was advancing in a hastened manner, and that was good for the Chosokabe. And Chikayasu didn't forget Motochika's unit, who still didn't enter the battle properly. Nobuchika's guard was right to say that the Sogo were on their mercy.

The Chosokabe Archers under Zhuge Liang had proven to be most effective. Their aim true and their bolts were deadly. It would not take long for them to defeat this army of the Sogo. Especially with the likes of Nobuchika and Chikayasu doing the ground work. Zhuge was most pleased, though his mind was elsewhere.
Zhuge would find himself thinking out loud. "I wonder how Motochika is doing?" His strategist fan waving as always he would speak to the troops under his command. "Be sure your aim is true, we do not wish to harm our own comrades." A thought crossed Zhuge's mind at that moment. While he was thinking of Motochika, his new lord, he was surely curious to what he was up to. Of course he could have already taken the fortress up ahead but this was not known, merely speculations. He had high expectations for Motochika, as he did so for Nobuchika.

-Sogo Forces
Their Captain captive not much they could do but try to retreat. Their blades clanking into the small Chosokabe ambush. Arrows had also begun raining down on them and many of their troops had fallen.
Their lines broken as they attempted to form up rank. The only option they had now was to defend themselves and hope they could outlast their enemies.

Turn Results:
Motochika and his men have their Ram well on its way to being constructed. It will only take one more turn for it to be built. His brigade holding fast. As Nobuchika had launched his ambush from the carriages. He had managed to capture the Sogo Captain.
The Sogo troops thrown into a frenzy they began to form up rank and prepare to hold out. Though their efforts would be in vain as they had not gotten out of range of the Chosokabe Archers commanded by Zhuge Liang. Their volleys would be much more critical now.
Chikayasu had split his large unit up. Leaving a large amount behind to aid Nobuchika if he so needed it. The rest would had been moving to encircle the Sogo but would fail to do so. They would be met by the remaining Sogo forces and begun fighting in the middle of the road. Along with Nobuchika and his men of course.
Troop Counts:
Chosokabe banner:
Chosokabe Motochika- 1,000 Ashigaru Chosokabe Nobuchika- 126 Ashigaru(Disguised) Zhuge Liang- 1,100 Chosokabe Archers Chikayasu Kosokabe- 3,714 Ashigaru
Sogo: Sogo Itsuka -500 Ashigaru Sogo Captain -933 Ashigaru
Items: Zhuge Liang- Winged Helm: Said to have two wings coming out the top -Morale shall not falter in battle
What have you:
Motochika is about ready to begin his siege of the fort held by the Sogo. Their ram is just about ready, about 1 more turn guys. Though he may have another plan.
Zhuge Liang's archers are dealing most of the damage here. Leaving the Sogo pretty much screwed. While Nobuchika and Chikayasu have begun fighting the Sogo head on.

(OOC: Apologies for short post, had been writing one but then lost) The fight had begun and now the Sogo were being attacked on many fronts, one from him and his guards near the carriages, another from Zhuge Liang and the Chosokabe Archers firing from above, and Chikayasu and his men with the main charging unit attacking their flank. All was going well as planned, as Nobuchika charged with his men round the carriages, swinging his numchuks before sniping out the blades to finish the job, to cut down those who came near him and his men.
In the meantime, Motochika remained seated on his horse as he directs his men building the ram and the extra protection they are adding on to prepare for their charge, "Very soon. Very soon this isle of Shikoku will realise the strength of the Chosokabe!". Since his grandfather, the Chosokabe were forgotten and close to exile, but thanks to him and his father, they had turned it around and now they were expanding once again.

With the Sogo regrouping their troops to stand on more even ground. It would be unwise to continue the assault with the Chosokabe Archers. The allied forces being far to close now for comfort. Zhuge Liang would notice this immediately. Even in the midst of combat, his mind was always thinking and preparing.
"Archers, cease fire." He would say as his fan waved. The only real option now was to either move into a better position or abandon the mountain top. Zhuge would have to think on this. His lord Motochika was away and now more than likely either assaulting the Sogo fort or quite ready to do so.
"Make the necessary preparations men. We move out to assist Lord Motochika at once." It would take some time to prepare properly for this even longer journey. The trip up the mountain was long, but this was going to be longer. He would have to pass by Nobuchika and Chikayasu fighting the Sogo. Then he would have to travel all the way to the known Sogo fort location. A long trip indeed.
Plans:(PM is unnecessary)
The Chosokabe Archers will be packing up their extra bolts for their arrows. As well as packing up the rations that they had, along with anything else. This would take time. Then they would begin their march down the mountain. Finally, they would proceed to bypass the current fighting between Nobuchika and Chikayasu and proceed to assault the Sogo fort. Hopefully arriving just in the right time as Zhuge loved to do so. XD

Watching the battles from a distance was something that Chikayasu Kosokabe considered his specialty. But sometimes he had to act rashly to prevent bad things from happening, and that was just the case. When he saw Nobuchika fighting hard by the carriages, he thought about sending a larger unit to help, but changed his mind (or not) when Zhuge Liang stopped firing, giving him the chance to swallow the Sogo.
"Come on! This is our time!" He rallied his troops one last time before charging with his entire unit right into the enemy formation. In terms of raw power, he had a great advantage over the enemy, but in war nothing is certain. The only thing he knew is that everyone was counting on him, and that he couldn't fail. Riding his horse and wielding his chain, he swung it around in preparation for the enemy.
Battle Plans: Alright, not exactly a plan, but just to clear things up, Chikayasu is using his entire unit, 3.714 Ashigaru. He already had a few guys up there, but now they rejoined the main unit and are fighting together.

-Sogo Forces
Their Captain had been captured and their unit was all but safe. Not much was left for them. The only real option was to defend themselves or panic and commit to a full withdrawal of their forces. One of the lieutenants would try to order the men, but would fail. "Withdraw!" As one cried out.
Some would answer his cry but most would stay and fight. The few that did retreat would be heading back to their home. The Sogo fort.

Turn Results: Chosokabe Motochika's unit had finally finished their preparations for the siege of the Sogo Fort. The ram was now well prepared and armored a bit.
Zhuge Liang had halted the Chosokabe Archers from firing down upon the Sogo brigade that had attacked the carriages. His unit was now packing up all of its supplies and hardware. In which they would begin their trip down the mountain pass and onward towards the fortification. Where he would meet up with Motochika. This would take time however.
Chosokabe Nobuchika is fighting valiantly. He was most indeed impressing Zhuge Liang and furthermore his father. Though his father would not know of his deeds just yet.
Chikayasu Kosokabe has brought his entire unit out from hiding and is now engaging the Sogo Brigade that Nobuchika had already been fighting. He is fighting on horseback and the Sogo troops are falling as easy prey.
Troop Counts:
Chosokabe banner:
Chosokabe Motochika- 1,000 Ashigaru Chosokabe Nobuchika- 110 Ashigaru(Disguised) Zhuge Liang- 1,100 Chosokabe Archers Chikayasu Kosokabe- 3,707 Ashigaru
Sogo: Sogo Itsuka -500 Ashigaru Sogo Captain -908 Ashigaru
Items: Zhuge Liang- Winged Helm: Said to have two wings coming out the top -Morale shall not falter in battle
What have you:
Motochika's ram is finished, Nobuchika is kicking ass, and Kosokabe has joined in on the fray. While Zhuge Liang's unit is trekking down the mountain to meet up with Motochika.
The Sogo are completely outnumbered and outmaneuvered.

With the ram completed, Motochika immediately assigned his men to carrying it, and taking turns so each could rest, as he marched infront, leading the way towards Sanuki, as he picked the strings off his Shamisen, and begun to play a little tune, now that their time had come, and if it failed, there was the backup plan that he had sent to his son. In his mind, Plan A worked alot better than Plan B.
So once the city was in sights, he then spoke up to his men, "Raise the Banners!", as the men surrounding those carrying the ram raised the Chosokabe banners, before slowly closing in on the city.
Meanwhile, Nobuchika, after hearing them call for a retreat then yelled out, "Look at the pathetic Sogo run!", as he laughed out loud, moving his hands about so his troops did the same to taunt them, before he shouted with a smile, "If you have any decent bone in ya, then surrender to us. If not, then you'll be crushed by the Mighty Chosokabe! Hyahhh".
He raced forwards with his men, waving his numchuk against the fleeing enemy, before they were met with blades. If they got away too far, then it would mess up his fathers' plans and he would get the blame for being in charge of this end of the battle. He would not fail. As he charged, he spotted his uncle, and then bellowed, "Let's get them together Uncle!", as he continued his charge. Actions: Motochika leads his men with the ram towards the city, with the Chosokabe banner held high, as they approach. Meanwhile, Nobuchika and his men taunt the enemy, offering surrender, before giving chase with everything he's got.

Zhuge Liang managed to descend the mountain top a lot quicker than he had climbed it. The Chosokabe Archers well tuned to listen to Zhuge's command as he had cared for them during this trip. As they approached the fighting and the cowardly Sogo troops Zhuge would smile. The battle was going well here, but what of Motochika? He wondered just how his new lord was doing and aimed to assist him.
He would laugh to himself. For all he knew Motochika would be standing on the fortifications wall playing his shamison, with a victorious tune. Though this was unsure, he would continue his advance. With the Chosokabe Archers, Zhuge's advance would be swift. Their goal was to go around the current fighting and meet up with Motochika ahead of schedule.

The Sogo were being crushed by Nobuchika and Chikayasu's combined efforts, and even though the Chosokabe Archers had stopped firing, it wouldn't make much of a difference in the end, as the Sogo couldn't hang on for too longer. Chikayasu saw their escape as a chance to reinforce the attack on the other side of the town. He first sent a scout to locate Motochika's position, then prepared a mobile unit of 500 men advancing behind the scout to join his brother.
Watching the battle from afar, he heard the bellow from Nobuchika: "Let's get them together Uncle!", and saw the young Chosokabe warrior waving in his direction before giving pursuit to the enemy. He put his hand on his forehead in sign of approval and mounted on his horse. Giving some instructions to a part of his army, he rode out with his chain ready to do some damage.

Turn Results: Chosokabe Motochika's men raised their banners to signify their goals. A Sogo soldier saw the banner and recognized it. He would alarm his lord immediately of the immanent siege. Chosokabe Motochika is fighting vigorously and Chikayasu Kosokabe is also engaged. While sending 500 troops out on a scouting mission to support Motochika.
Zhuge Liang's unit has now passed by the main bulk of the Sogo forces. They were distracted by Nobuchika and Kosokabe's efforts. After the next turn results they will have arrived with Motochika.

(I'm going to step in for Simon here, I'm sure he won't mind.)
-Chosokabe Motochika
The men now well prepared they would be advancing towards the fortifications main gate. The ram would be pushed by six men and advancing slowly to the gate. When it would arrive, the six men would proceed to protecting it. While two began to operate it, slamming into the main gate of the fortification.
Motochika himself behind in the midst of his men. Standing tall with them however, the only difference between them would be him playing his shamisen. To increase morale and solidify his mens hearts.
-Zhuge Liang
Zhuge's Chosokabe Archer unit would be well past the main Sogo brigade. They had been advancing to rendezvous with his lord Chosokabe Motochika. As they came into site, Zhuge would order the archers to move to protect Motochika's unit.
Zhuge himself would advance towards Motochika's side. The Chosokabe Archer unit would wait for Zhuge's order to begin the volley into the fort, a rain of arrows. An order which had not yet come.
