All was going well, Zhuge Liang had entered Motochika's service, and now his son, Nobuchika, was all well and ready to go. They had now returned to their home and capital of united Tosa, in Oka. For Zhuge Liang, the library of Oka was at his disposal aswell as the musicians he had offered for tutoring, and soon it was time for Awa to fall, for the quicker Shikoku was subjegated, the quicker he'd be able to unite the isle of Kyuushu before competing with Nobunaga for the mainland.
His family were related to the Saito of Mino which were next door to the Oda due to marriage, so with that link, they'd be able to get insight into what was occurring with the Oda, as well as his good friend Mitsuhide whose pain he could feel as soon as Zhuge Liang reported the happenings at Mikawa. The good thing was, was that he now had the intellect of Zhuge Liang, combined with his wisdom, and his son's strength, and soon, they must be on their move.
Motochika walked with his shamisen away from the castle, in which Nobuchika ran to caught him up with his numchucks hanging at his waist, "Father!", he bellowed, causing Motochika to slow to a halt and turned to his son, "What am I to do while you are away?".
Motochika chuckled, "You already know the answer, as you've been doing it ever since you could fight, or is there something bothering you?".
"I'm alright, though am curious why you depart while the planning of our next battles takes place. Your not leaving us to it, are you?".
Such a green boy, but one who thought of his father, as he put his hand on his shoulder, "The bat must take flight sometimes in order to gather allies, but you are my son, and one that I am very much proud of, and wish for you to prove how great you are without being under my shadow...I also believe that Zhuge Liang wishes to work with you also, to make you the star of the show...isn't that what you've wanted", giving a laugh.
Nobuchika laughed along with his father, before standing tall, "I will do you proud father", knowing his father had things that he must do as much as he had, before he turned and returned to Oka, and knocking upon the quarters of Zhuge Liang, awaited his turn to enter. He may be master of the castle but he was taught to show kindness to friends, and Zhuge Liang was the strategist and being foreign meant he had much to prove but like him, they both had his fathers' blessings.

The quarters that his new master, Motochika, had given him were very luxurious, at least to him. The walls were high and decorated with the native paintings and a sculpture was in the corner of the room. A large map of Japan had been placed on one section of the wall. This had been a special request by Zhuge to Motochika. Zhuge believed that a map of the land was as necessary as troops were, information was everything to him.
While Zhuge was going threw numerous of battle stratagems a knock came at the door. One of the servants that Motochika had left behind for Zhuge would open the door. Allowing Nobuchika to enter the room. This man was new to Zhuge, he had never seen him before but had heard of him through his father, Motochika. Zhuge would stand from his table and chair, would bow.
"Greetings, I am Zhuge Liang."

The door opened before him as Nobuchika entered, dressed in his usual green garment with a variety of different shades. The man before him, dressed in a white robe, stood and bowed to him announcing himself, "Greetings, I am Zhuge Liang".
Nobuchika's fist went into his left hand which then covered his fist as he held it out infront of his chest before bowing in return, "Pleased to meet you Zhuge Liang", before lifting himself up, "I am Nobuchika Chosokabe. Father has told me much about you. I trust you are keeping well and your needs are taken care of here in Oka", he announced before ending with a smile.
Kunichika, his grandfather, worried for his son, his father, due to his gentleness before his father proved to him that it was of no concern. Nobuchika was quite popular, due to his warm and genial nature, much like his father, but his father had no concern whatsoever, but despite a concern not rising, he would still prove himself.

He would stand and motion for Nobuchika to sit. As his hand pointed to a chair next to the table, which was covered with smaller maps than the one on the wall as well as plans and names. "Please sit Nobuchika, Your father and I have become pretty well acquainted, now it is our turn."
Zhuge's plan was to get to know Nobuchika, for his plans to work with him he would need his trust. Zhuge had a man by the name of Zhao Yun in China. This man was his vanguard general. He was able to tell him to take a base, he would, force an officer to retreat, he would and even to rush recklessly into the overwhelming enemy to save a child, he did. Zhuge's plan was to make Nobuchika to become all he could be.

Looking around his quarters, especially at the table before him, Zhuge Liang was settling in quite well and getting adjusted to these new lands. Nobuchika couldn't imagine someone leaving their home to come to a land full of disarray as his was, but like what his father had said, it was man who brought this upon us, and it would be us who would shape the land for a brighter future which History would remember.
Tosa was united and in Chosokabe control, and now he had been told by his father that it was Awa what he sought next, as he took a seat which Zhuge Liang offered, before announcing how he and his father were acquainted and now it was his turn to be acquainted with him.
Indeed so! What would you like to know?", he asked with a smile, unsure really what to say since his father was wise and so was he, so it was alot easier to know and understand one another unlike him, though in time that would change, his father said, though hoping fit alot better in Nobuchika's opinion, but he could reach there, "...for it is indeed a great pleasure to meet the great Zhuge Liang, and am so glad you came to us!" with a friendly smile.

Zhuge would take his own seat and spread the battle plans out across the table. He did this so Nobuchika could rummage as he pleased. Zhuge would need to know a lot of things about Nobuchika, if he was to use him with the utmost effectiveness.
"Nobuchika, we should use this time to get to know one another. Preferably, I would like to know a lot about you." He would need to know how his temper was, his skills, what he did know of strategy, and last but not least his willingness to receive an order and be sure to see it to fruition. "I am sure your father has spoken of me to you, but I am willing to tell you all that I know."
Zhuge would motion for the servants to bring Nobuchika and himself some wine. It would be rude to not at least offer something to the man. "I wish for you to be my weapon of my stratagems, Nobuchika." Zhuge would clear his throat. As your father is the shield to the people, you will be its sword."

Nobuchika never expected to be face-to-face to one of the greatest minds ever known. Despite it all, he had arrived in Tosa, engaged his father in conversation, joined his cause, and now served the Chosokabe. With the aid of Zhuge Liang, anything was possible now.
Zhuge Liang then expressed his desire to get to know him, and that he would be willing to tell him all he knew, in which Nobuchika smiled, There is not alot to tell, not yet anyway. I am Lord Motochika's eldest son and heir of the Chosokabe clan. I'm 17. I've trained myself ever since I could, and assisted my father since he took the reigns of the clan. Like my father, I love my home and wish for peace to come back to these lands".
He couldn't much since those involved in war needed to be at least the age of 16 or 17 so he has only just started, but in time, he'd be able to say alot more. A servant then provided him with wine which he took and had a sip, before Zhuge Liang spoke up again, "I wish for you to be my weapon of my stratagems, Nobuchika. As your father is the shield to the people, you will be its sword".
Nobuchika lowered his head, "I would be honored", he paused. "I am yours to command, and carry out the order you give, as I have done with my father". He did not wish to make rash movements and when he wished to do so, his father had stopped him and in the end, the battle was a success so he understood how battles required much planning and not simply rushing in to the attack.

Zhuge would hold his glass up to toast with Nobuchika. He had hoped he would become his Zhao Yun, hopefully he had the abilities to do just that. "Your father will arrive shortly with our next target." Zhuge's hand would wave over the plans he had on the table for Awa and Iyo, a long with Kyushu.
"Shimazu is the only threat I see as of right now"

Zhuge Liang lifted his cup for a toast in which he followed suit, as a sign of unity, which together with his father, the union of all three would do well and be remembered for their acts. At the moment, Zhuge Liang was known from his feats in China, and his father from his rise and being the Leader of the clan, but soon, he himself would get noticed.
"Your father will arrive shortly with our next target", Zhuge Liang spoke up showing him the plans with the map, "Shimazu is the only threat I see of right now". Nobuchika observed the map, and nodded, "The Shimazu call themselves the Shimazu Devils and from what I have heard and read, they pride themselves in their quickness to attack and surprise units, in which case, we'd need to close in carefully and be weary of where we are going, though when it comes down to us fighting the Shimazu, we would at least have half of Kyuushu aswell as a united Shikoku, depending how much land the Shimazu has, since they are quite influential over there as we are here in Shikoku".

Zhuge would take a drink of the wine and then rest the glass on the table. He would listen to Nobuchika as he spoke of the Shimazu Devils. He would smile at the thought of their low level tactics.
Zhuge would wait for Nobuchika to finish talking. "Their tactics are mere child's play, as you will come to learn all of my tactics." He'd state two things in one sentence. One being that the Shimazu had low level tactics and the other that he would teach Nobuchika all that he knew.

In response to his explanation, Zhuge Liang merely respond with a smile, before finishing with, "Their tactics are mere child's play, as you will come to learn all of my tactics", in which Nobuchika immediately bowed his head, "It would be a honor Master Zhuge Liang, just tell me what I must do, and I shall follow".
It was then that a knock was heard, which the servant then opened and bowed as the presence of Lord Motochika entered, with his shamisen on his shoulder, as his son then turned to bow to him also. Zhuge Liang was right when he had said that his father would arrive shortly with their next target, and so he had.
"Nobuchika. Zhuge Liang", nodding to both before walking over to them, and glancing down to the map, "Our troops are rested, but are also ready. My reports indicate that no movements have been made, but it would not be right to attack the Miyoshi with their current trading links with the mainland, or the Kono to ensure the Mori do not intervene as they done before for them. Therefore, we will march on the border and through the mountain route before resting. Unlike the Kono, the Sogo of Sanuki are arrogant and therefore, I believe we should feed their arrogance", looking towards Zhuge Liang.
However, it was not Zhuge Liang that spoke next, but Nobuchika, "As soon as we march on the border, the Kono may see us as hostile and would prepare forces, but that will no doubt be a siege battle with the Lord of Kono holding himself in his castle. The Sogo are reckless, and make raids on the weak Kono, therefore we should lure them into attacking a travelling caravan, before releasing our arrows", before turning to his father, "Afterall, no arrow flies truer than a Chosokabe shaft".
Motochika gave a smirk to what his son proposed. He had been learning, not only from books, but also speaking to some of his retainers of those who served his father, as it was the arrows that the Chosokabe were famous for. However, he did not comment, as he wished to hear what Zhuge Liang's plan was, having time to read upon the land and it's history, since attacking Sanuki did mean making the mountain crossing, but in taking Sanuki, they could then access the trading ports for both Iyo and Awa to isolate them from the mainland.

Zhuge would bow to his lord, as Motochika entered the room and did the same. His lord was ready as he had told Nobuchika. Could Zhuge predict the future?
Nobuchika would speak first, just as Zhuge Liang would have hoped. He would mention the Chosokabe Archers, something Zhuge had already planned for. "The mountains are perfect, with the Chosokabe Archers all in the trading routes and beyond shall be yours."
Of course Zhuge was speaking in past tense, as if he had already done this before. With one hand he would pick his fan up and wave it as he usually did. He would then wave the fan over a the map of the mountain regions.
He would hope that Motochika could have arranged a much larger force now. For they would both need ample support of the people. In order to take land, Motochika would need the blessing of the people.

Motochika had named the Sogo of Sanuki as the target and how they had to go the mountain route. Nobuchika had suggested to feed the enemy's arrogance by sending a travelling caravan to lure them in and engage in a field battle, leaving Sanuki vulnerable for the taking.
He wondered what Zhuge Liang's response would be, or if he had a new strategy to propose, which he responded agreeing with Nobuchika, "The mountains are perfect, with the Chosokabe Archers all in the trading routes and beyond shall be yours", which Motochika responded with a nod, "Then it is decided then", as his smile appeared, pleased with his son and also pleased to have the wisdom of Zhuge Liang by his side, "The people of Sanuki rely on the Sogo to defend them, I shall take a portion of the army when the fighting is engaged in the mountains for the people to open up the doors of Sanuki. With the loss of their capital, the forces at the mountain will drastically lose morale".

Zhuge would smile as he stood. Motochika's plan was a very good one. He would pause a second in deep thought. Whether someone would be inside of the caravan or not was the question, or if it was just a distraction all together. Zhuge would wave his fan again.
"Shall the caravan be occupied or not?" Zhuge would mean that if they should place an officer in the caravan, though that would be a risky plan. He did not want to sacrifice a loyal officer to his lords cause. Though if said officer was a very capable one, he would be able to defend himself with backup. "While you travel to the mountains Motochika, shall Nobuchika be the bait and I his backup?" Zhuge had much faith in Nobuchika.

Zhuge Liang stood, before enquiring, "Shall the caravan be occupied or not?....While you travel to the mountains Motochika, shall Nobuchika be the bait and I his backup?". It was an interesting proposal, and having it occupied, would mean they could do more damage. Zhuge Liang had proposed Nobuchika, so as a result, he allowed his son to speak for himself. He didn't require his fathers' approval.
Nobuchika listened to his father and Zhuge Liang come to an agreement before Zhuge Liang proposed that he be the bait and inside the caravan. He turned to his father, who instead of replying had turned to him, in which he responded, "I would be honored. I will not fail you father, or you Zhuge Liang", turning to them both with a nod before adding, "What banners should the caravan hold? Since we are crossing the border, we could use Iyo banners..", awaiting for any of them to respond, before they got their preparations underway.
