The scout had arrived at Tokugawa's camp while Ieyasu was finishing preparations for the attack on Mikawa. Tadakatsu Honda was still awake, drilling a small group of troops in spear techniques. A strange thing to do that late, but it was Tadakatsu. You never know what to expect from a man such as he. The soldiers looked tired, but going against Honda's will wasn't in their best interests. They continued to hack and slash thin air while Ieyasu read Masamune's note. It was a smart attack, and he did as his ally wanted him to, moving his forces near the town and waiting for an "obvious signal".

Toyotomi stated that he could not post, but he was able to PM me. Which in a lot of ways can be more important.
Turn Results: With the Date-Tokugawa alliance it would seem that Mikawa would fall to them, but Hideyoshi Toyotomi was determined to not let that happen. Tokugawa units move in close to the fort, but do not attack. While Date Masamune and 500 Ashigaru march into the fort and spread rumors that the enemy force is to large for them to hold off, attempting to lure them out. Unfortunately with Hideyoshi's arrival, the defenses have been improved and likewise, no samurai have left the fort.
Troop Counts:
Oda- Hideyoshi Toyotomi 5,000 Samurai
Tokugawa- Tokugawa Ieyasu- 4,000 Ashigaru Honda Tadakatsu(A beast)
Date- Date Masamune- 7,930 Ashigaru

-Sorry for that
The troops were getting restless, many had heard of Tadakatsu in the enemy ranks and were eager to confront him. Though a lot were not so eager. Masamune had entered the camp and Hideyoshi watched him do so. "So few troops..." He said out loud. It was entirely possible that his unit was routed, but unbeknownst to them the Date and Tokugawa had formed an alliance. Without knowing of this Hideyoshi allowed his entrance and so did the samurai defending the ford. Hideyoshi would also order 3,000 Samurai to leave the fort and begin the preparations for a necessary defense. It was going to be a long night...

Masamune's first attempt at distracting the enemy units have failed, but he sensed movement near the gate soon thereafter. Perhaps the samurai of the Oda had been spurred into action by someone, and he wanted to believe that was Ieyasu. Putting his alliance in the line was a dangerous move, but telling to everyone was plain out stupid. But it was a clever move; many samurai were still left in the fort to defend against a possible pincer attack or a charge. This led him to deduct someone was pulling the strings behind this defense; Nobunaga had assigned someone to Mikawa after knowing of his betrayal. But how did the information get to him so soon? Ieyasu should be still outside the gate, ready to attack at Masamune's signal.
He called a messenger and told him to head over to his own band of samurai, who were still approaching from Dewa. They weren't large in numbers, but could eventually change the tide of the battle. In a night raid, you have to be silent, but since everyone knew of his presence, his only choice was the rest of the troops. But they were too busy preparing the ambushes to the Oda army, so he had to summon troops from the outside. Another messenger was sent to a secret location, not even his troops knew where that would be. And a last messenger was sent to Ieyasu, with Masamune's immediate orders.

Tokugawa forces skipped due to inactivity.
Turn Results: 3,000 Samurai from the Oda have set up defenses in front of the fort, while Hideyoshi Toyotomi remains within the fort with the remaining 2,000 Samurai. Date Masamune has cooked up a few plans and is carrying them out. Tokugawa Ieyasu and Honda Tadakatsu sit and do nothing.
Troop Counts:
Oda- Hideyoshi Toyotomi 5,000 Samurai
Tokugawa- Tokugawa Ieyasu- 4,000 Ashigaru Honda Tadakatsu(A beast)
Date- Date Masamune- 7,930 Ashigaru

Being that the Tokugawa and Date forces have been extremely inactive and it is unfair to Toyotomi. I have decided to end this battle here and now. No troops have been killed or anything so everything should be fine. The Tokugawa and Date forces may strike again when they return.
