Awards are awards, rewarding those who take part. The main goal of an event is to have players play nicely (or as nicely as possible) together, and who knows what reward you get, but both rewards sound super, and I for one will be doing my bit to give Motochika a chance of getting a reward, just as you guys do also.

The Event is scheduled to launch Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. Game Time, my time. Please note the Game Clock/My Clock on the main page located beneath the Board Stats and above the Chatbox. Also, I rather like the turn out of this Event.
On a different note; Normally Hisahide Matsunaga(The Shogun) would be played by Simon, but seeing as how he is participating and I am not, I will be playing as this NPC. Just a little tid-bid of information for you all.

That's all fine, Alex, since you can't be accused of Bias then xD
Also, the turn out may have something to do with the fact that there's more of us, and we're not losing anything, simply gaining stuff (Possibly) xD

Historically any leader who waged war left chaos in their wake, that's just how war is. I fear you missed the point, I was pointing out the difference between Fuma and Oda, while oda left chaos, Fuma created it ahead of himself, hence gaining the nickname 'The Winds of Chaos'. Also, completely irrelevant, and because I can't use the Cbox atm, and my phone won't load the PM pages for some reason. @kan, Blitz update, Encounter stuff's making it's way up Well, considering how most of Kotaro's achivements stem from being battle related, hell, his well known achivement was ambushing Katsiyori's camp during the night causing confusion and the like. Though I do find it ironic that Kotaro was captured by a former rival from the Takeda, then executed by Ieyasu, lol.

That's right, this post signifies its launch.
-Hisahide Matsunaga
Hisahide was the current Shogun and it was his duty to keep foreign invaders out of his beloved homeland. Though he had no idea where these foreigners hailed from nor did it really matter. Their intentions were quite obvious; conquer Japan for themselves. Though what these foreigners did not realize was that in the midst of all the chaos going on throughout Japan, it was a proven fact that an outside invader would unify the daimyo's. Hisahide Matsunaga hoped that the daimyo's throughout Japan would hear his call. For he believed that without their support, this coalition would surely fail.
On the Coalitions side of battle, a commanders tent was plainly visible as the draw point. Any guard that the daimyo's and generals would talk to would immediately point them into this direction with no words offered. In this tent was a massive table capable of seating some odd fifty men. At its head was none other than Hisahide Matsunaga. He would be sitting drinking some tea, he was a collector of fine jugs and the such for tea.
On the massive table, aligned at each seat would be a ceramic jug and a glass of tea for each of the daimyo's and generals. Each of the jugs would be apart of his personal collection. Of course he was paying respects to any who would answer his call. Likewise, seated in the two chairs next to Hisahide was two bodyguards.

- Fuma Kotaro
A dry smile graced the Iga Ninja's face as the guard pointed him in the direction of the Shogun's tent, he simply nodded his thanks and approached the tent, despite the rivalries amongst himself and the other Daimyo's of the land, one thing was more important than defeating them, and, in his eyes, that was the minor fact that there was a land to unify under their banners, without this, what was the point?
Within moments he entered the tent, placing his right fist in his palm, he bowed slightly from the waist and bowed his head in respect for the man "My Lord Hisahide, we came as soon as we got your message, I see we are the first to arrive?" he said simply, by 'we' he meant himself and Hideki, his apprentice.
- Fuma Apprentice
Following his master through the encampment, he used every once of his restraint to stop from murdering the guard that the pair had approached, Kotaro had told him that it showed poor respect to the current Shogun if his men were to be killed by those that he had shown the grace of requesting their aid, in short, the apprentice was on his best behaviour, or else.
As they reached the command tent, he waited outside until his master had stepped out of the doorway, he then appeared and proffered the same grace, placing his fist in his palm and bowing graciously "My lord" he said simply, and the pair awaited further instruction.

A foreign invasion. Chikayasu remembered talking to a friend when he was younger about something like this. But in the occasion he was referring to the people of Shikoku, and how the people on the mainland often called them foreigners. Of course, that was untrue, and Chikayasu didn't care much about it at all. But when he and his son arrived at the shogun's camp after such a request, this conversation came back to his head. He did not want Chikauji to get involved in anything rather than their own interests, but he just insisted on coming, and was strangely excited about the chance at scoring himself some kills. From looking at his face, this was the perfect sentence to say near him.
They easily located the shogun's tent; it was the one with the most movement in the vicinity. Father and son gave each other a quick look and proceeded to enter it. Ignoring a hard-to-ignore individual with a dark atmosphere revolving him, Chikayasu bowed to shogun Hisahide and stared at Chikauji, waiting for him to do the same before saying, "My lord, we are from the Chosokabe clan from Shikoku, and we pledge our services to yourself to do with them as you please. Tell us where my lord needs us, and we'll provide with whatever help we may." Now quickly turning to the ignored individual, he nodded his head and let out a quick "hmph", but did not want to sound arrogant or anything, it was just that the shogun's praise was more important at the time.

Dismounting and tying up 'Shadow' in a safe place, she looked towards the commanders tent, trying to figure out who was in there. One face caught her eyes right away, but this was a coalition, and teamwork was essential. Besides, it meant more blood spilled on the foreign side. Swallowing her pride and bitterness for now, she would walk in slowly.
Glancing around, she would easily realise which of the strangers was in fact, the Shogun. 'Pompous old fool, you will never keep control of the land' She thought to herself. But now was not the time to bring that up. "Lord... Hisahide, is it? I would trust you are well, but this force must be a vexation on you indeed if you have had to call us all out.. My spiritual energies are at your service." Apon saying that, she would take a spare seat assuming there was one and start to play with her dagger, no longer paying any heed to the other generals.

The Viper would enter the tent behind Hintsune Juyian, his features were grim, the rifle he carried at his side was held firmly within his right hand as he took his place behind one of the chairs.
"Saito Dosan, I am representing my lord Takao, he sends his apologies for not being here himself, but I assure you, Lord Hisahide, I am more than enough needed from our forces."
He offered a low bow to the general before rising once more, his gaze then trailed over some of the others, including the person he entered after.
"Interesting to see that most, if not all of the regional lords could put aside their greed to come and help, if we all do our jobs we should be able to make it back home safely."
His tone was that of a sly snake it would seem, but his expression never changed, infact, he was hopping the war council would start soon.

First was two ninja which he had not heard of yet. The second ninja was obviously subservient to the first. The first ninja spoke the most which showed his ranking. He seemed to know of himself, but he did not introduce himself nor did his follower. Both payed their respects before moving out of the entrance.
The next to enter the tent was from the Chosokabe clan. Which Hisahide had heard news of their rising power in Shikoku. At least these two from the Chosokabe had shown more respect to their Shogun by at least offering up where they were from. Though many daimyo did not respect him and he was aware of this.
The following stranger to enter the tent was obviously from the Oda clan. Which all knew to well of their deeds and how powerful their lord Nobunaga had become. This general however, was a female and very unlike the rest. She to did not bother to offer up her name, but simply took a seat, the only one to actually do so. It appeared that not many where to interested in his ceremonial ceramic jugs and tea glasses. Hisahide was a collector of fine tea ceramic possessions.
Unfortunately, it would seem that not many had answered his call or it could be possible that they were just late. He had dispatched messengers to vast far off regions and he had hoped for a better turn out. "It would appear that the rest are late." Hisahide said to the few that had came. Before his next words he stood up from his chair, kicking it back a foot. "You honor your Shogun by accepting my call. First orders of business will be to assign you, that I see fit to lead, some of my men." His hands resting on the table. "Secondly, will be to see how effective you ninja really are."
In-tune with his words, a guardsman rose from the seat next to the Shogun. He proceeded to make his way to Fuma Kotaro and offer him a piece of paper.(Paper will be PM'ed to you Andae) As the guardsman returned to stand next to the Shogun, the second guardsman rose to stand at attention with the other.
Hisahide's eyesight moved to the others and pointed out the Chosokabe. "You from the Chosokabe clan shall be in charge of the Archers. Afterall, your archers have always been the best or so I have heard..." His voice trailing off. It was true to say that Hisahide Matsunaga was disappointed. For the Shogun to send out aid as such and so few had arrived on time and further more for the ones to arrive late. What was to say of them? Truly it showed what many viewed of the current Shogun.
Now the Shogun moved his eyesight to Hintsune Juyian. Before he spoke, in his own mind Hisahide thought of something very distasteful. Oda sent his dog in his place. Hisahide's hands moved from the table to a crossed position over his chest. "You from the Oda clan. You shall lead our cavalry unit." The rest of the men would be saved for if any others would arrive and hopefully they did.
The final person to arrive had at least offered some more respect to their Shogun. "Saito Dosan, I thank you for introducing yourself first." His words next would be at a better tone from this and hoped that the others would of learned their lesson. "I will send a Samurai unit with you. Hopefully, you will do good with them."
Admin Note: This does not mean that anyone who has signed up and has yet to post can not still participate. In fact you can, but you will be arriving late is all. Basically so I am not talking to far to many people at once.
Also, map added to first post.

He bowed again and took a seat now, looking over the map.
"Judging by the enemy force's size and position, we would do best to use a three pronged attack, one from each side, with another unit following up here.."
He pointed to the secondary unit which seemed to be comprised of archers.
"With the main unit surrounded, flanking the archers should be relatively easy. For this, I recomend the Oda cavalry commander. With support from the Fuuma Ninjas, they should be able to put the archers in disarray."
His gaze turned to the female Oda retainer, a cold glare given at the mention of it. He then turned his gaze back to Hisahide.
"Meanwhile, Lord Hisahide, myself and the Chosokobe archers shall attack the main unit, the Chosokobe providing support while Lord Hisahide and I get into position to attack."
He paused for a long moment before he continued.
"My lord, I ask that you take the vanguard for this battle, if we can get their unit to focus on you while I get into position on their flank, perhaps I could use my unique... skills, to take out their commander. What say you?"
He then awaited comments from the others on his idea.

Motochika had arrived upon the shore and immediately made his way up to the main camp where the Coalition would meet. The letter had arrived in Shikoku, and sent his brother first, seeing as he had to wrap up internal affairs, and await his son's return for him to join him as he moved north.
With his son reunited in order to wholly represent the Chosokabe, they disembarked and immediately headed for the camp as quickly as they could, taking two horses and racing to the camp. When they arrived, the camp was full of many tents, with his sachel nearly empty as he took another sip, while his son did the same, before asking where the Shogun could be found.
Following the instructions, they left their horses with the guards, before heading to the main tent, as Motochika had his shamisen across his shoulder as usual, with his son behind him, until he stopped, realising they were late, as he listened till the Shogun finished speaking, before entering the tent.
When he entered, he glanced about the tent, seeing his brother and his nephew who both stood up, aswell as two ninja's standing up the left which was clear by their appearance, and since the call was for Daimyo's and their support, it would mean that these must be the Fuuma that they had heard about.
He not yet announced himself but instead familiarised himself with the surroundings, the people, while one man spoke, which no doubt was Saito Dosan, since from what he heard outside, he could not be Oda, since he had said the "Oda cavalry commander". It seemed that Nobunaga had not come himself. The greatest power in the land, and yet he could not support his own countrymen, and yet he and his brother, men of Shikoku, had come to their aid, when there was in no danger at all, which spoke volumes compared to the Oda.
As he listened to the plan, he smiled. Just like the Battle of Sanuki where he fed the Sogo their ego and luring them in. A similar tactic was being adopted by putting the Shogun on the frontlines, which would no doubt be a success, as who was the best target to get when invading, than the Shogun no less.
When he had finished, Motochika then spoke up, "A very well put together plan, I must say", he said with a smile, before turning to Hisahide, grasping his hands together before bowing, "Forgive my tardiness", even if they had gone the furthest, having to travel over the billows of the ocean between Shikoku and the mainland, but of course, the Chosokabe could handle the mighty waves, just like the waves of troops that were forming to oppose all Japan, "I am Motochika Chosokabe, Head of the Chosokabe Clan of Shikoku, and this is my son, Nobuchika. We have come to answer your call for aid".
He then took a seat inbetween where his brother and Kotaro was standing, seeing how his brother was acting, before motioning with his head, for his brother to sit. Once he had seated, he then took a cup and poured some water, "I must thank you for your hospitality Lord Hisahide after such a journey".
Many refer to him as a charismatic leader in Shikoku, but aswell as this, he was often quite calm and relaxed, and therefore was not one to show how serious he was, and yet the work he has done so far has been quite...enlightening. After cooling himself off, he then turned back to the matter at hand as he twirled his finger in the cup to see the ripples of water form, "I agree with Saito Dosan. The enemy may outnumber us, but there are not in their domain, and seeing the Shogun will surely blind their minds. It will be that foolishness, which would be their downfall, literally. History will surely remember this day for years to come, and be remembered for generations. Any foreigners will need to think twice, or thrice, before even thinking of invading our land".
The mainland was not his land, Shikoku was, but the mainland was still part of them, and there was family on the mainland. His mother was a daughter of the Saito clan of Mino province afterall, which made him wonder if Saito Dosan knew of his mother.

- Fuma Kotaro
A small smile formed on his face as he looked to his apprentice, handing the lesser Ninja the form that he had read, so, their orders were simple, and had clearly been put in place at a rush, he highly doubted that the Shogun's messengers would have returned before the pair's own arrival, a chuckle escaped his lips as he looked back at their commander in chief.
"Lord Hasahide, the Fuma carry out this task as you have instructed, however, if you will allow it, we shall move into an observant position"
He listened as Saito spoke, his head turning swiftly to face the man, a look of pure disgust covering his face as he suggested that he assist the Oda dog with her unit, knowing full well the Hintsune shared his thoughts.
Friend, you seem unaware of the current state of affairs in Japan, while I respect Mistress Juiyan's skills in battle, I refuse, on grounds of sheer common sense, to have myself within 100 paces of any unit commanded by herself, her magical skills can affect not only her enemies, I shall carry out my task as instructed by the Shogunate, if it's all the same" he said simply, there was no question.
- Fuma Apprentice
Hideki laughed quietly to himself as he read the orders given to the two Ninja, typical, even the Shogun was willing to insult them by treating them as mere assassins, however, it could possibly be that they were the only two that were suitable for the task, and this was the option that he was more willing to accept, due to his Ninjutsu mastery with Invisibility, transformation and mystic flames. He then listened to the exchange between his master and Saito.
He audibly snorted as Dosan suggested they work with Hintsune, and then his face fell behind his mask as his master admitted to respecting Hintsune's battle prowess, his eyes held their constant, cold expression, despite what his lower face was doing.
